We call it Business Unusual and we make it our mission to use our gifts and influence to do good.
The “stewardship of influence” is a concept Rick Warren speaks of in his best selling book, The Purpose-Driven Life. He says, “In giving our lives away, we find our own significance”, and we believe he is right. The purpose of the gift of influence is not about your net worth or your ego. We believe the purpose of influence is to speak up for and come alongside others less fortunate – seeing people who are not necessarily “on your current radar” – and then finding a dignifying way to make an impact in their lives.
What will you do with the gifts you’ve been given?
The ESM Group was founded in 2008 and has been conducting Business Unusual since January 2010. This year, more than 10% of our time and resources will go toward affecting change both at home and in Africa.
